The jute mill unit of Premchand Jute & Industries Pvt. Ltd. (PJIPL), harks back to the British rule in India, when it was known as a leading manufacturer of jute soil savers. Since then, the Company has grown multifold, with strong processes and quality control systems in place. Today, PJIPL is a frontrunner in the Indian jute industry, and many of its products enjoy a premium in the market.
The Company is engaged in manufacturing and exporting of all types of Jute & Jute allied products – Traditional jute products for Packaging of Agricultural and Industrial produce and diversifying into Woven Jute Geotextiles for road construction and all kinds of jute Promotional and Shopping Bags.

Premchand Jute Mill was incorporated
Premchand Jute Mill acquired by Premchand Jute & Industries Private Limited (PJIPL). Existing production capacity at 100% utilization was 6,000MTPA
The plant was modernized by replacing old machines in all departments with the plant & machinery featuring the latest technology. Production capacity was increased to 18,000 MTPA.
Backed by a renewed demand for green products the production capacity was further increased to 27,000MTPA
Production capacity to be further increased to 36,000MTPA
